AIM HIGH FLIGHT ACADEMY PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS Dear Students and Parents, For those interested in aviation. Please read below for a scholarship opportunity with the Air Force to learn how to fly and/or continue on your path to becoming a young pilot. If you meet the below requirements, then your next step is to contact an LFA staff member to be nominated for this scholarship. All nominations are due by Monday, January 18th. That LFA member will send some preliminary information to ejohnson@legacyflightacademy.org to confirm your participation/nomination. AFJROTC Flight Academy Who may apply for AIM HIGH Flight Academy?(Solo Program, Approx 3 weeks) 1. Current sophomore, junior, or senior who understand they are volunteering for a scholarship to a public/private Flight School. There is no military service commitment or obligation, nor does program completion justify acceptance to military service, ROTC scholarship, or military academy appointment. Applicants Must: 2. Be at least 16 years old by 22 May 2021 3. Have a 3.0 CGPA and maintain it through the program 4. Receive a strategic partner, local chapter nominating official endorsement 5. Have a high school counselor or principal endorsement 6. Cannot currently hold a private pilots certification 7. Lastly, applicants must have a “strong” interest in aviation and a “never-quit” attitude Who may apply to the AFJROTC Flight Academy?(PPC Program/8 weeks) 1. Current sophomore, junior, or senior who understand they are volunteering for a scholarship to a public/ private university. There is no military service commitment or obligation, nor does program completion justify acceptance to military service, ROTC scholarship, or military academy appointment. Applicants Must: 2. Be at least 17 years old by 9 July 2021 3. Have a 3.0 CGPA and maintain it through the program 4. Receive a strategic partner, local chapter nominating official endorsement 5.
