The Women in Aviation International (WAI) Palmetto Pride Chapter was proud to host the 11th Annual Girls in Aviation Day at Signature Flight Support in North Charleston, SC.
This annual event brings together young girls from across the Lowcountry to explore the exciting world of aviation. Through hands-on activities, engaging exhibits, and opportunities to connect with aviation professionals, the girls were able to see firsthand the many possibilities that exist within this dynamic industry.
From exploring aircraft up close to hearing inspiring stories from women working in aviation, the day was filled with energy, curiosity, and discovery. Our volunteers and sponsors made sure that each participant walked away not only with fun memories, but also with the encouragement and confidence to dream big and aim high.
We are thrilled with the success of this year’s event and are so excited about the direction Girls in Aviation Day is headed. Each year, the momentum grows, and we are honored to play a role in inspiring the next generation of aviators, engineers, mechanics, air traffic controllers, and aviation leaders.
